The OSPW System optimises the overall efficiency of your drivetrain thanks to the extremely low friction of the CeramicSpeed Bearings and the unique design of the overall system.
Campagnolo EPS Record 11sp Rear Derailleur
As with the mechanical parts, the rear derailleur represents the pride and joy of the EPS project and encompasses a series of technologies and innovations that allow shifting speed to be optimised and guarantee unprecedented precision, even in the case of multiple shifting with 11 sprockets at a time.
The EPS rear derailleur is comprised mainly of a mechanical structure, derived from the mechanical gear and composed of a derailleur rod/parallelogram/derailleur cage, of a worm screw enabled by an electronic actuator. As with the derailleur, the electronic rear derailleur actuator is composed of a gear motor and a sensor, the built-in resolver, that reads its movements.
The geometry of the parallelogram has been made more rigid and optimised to promote interaction with the electronic parts.
The lower and upper bodies, the parallelogram and the carbon derailleur cage are moved by a screw system and lead worm screw (not a spring screw) which, in turn, is enabled by the electronic actuator that communicates with the DTI. The built-in resolver inside the actuator is capable of reading the movements of the rear derailleur at any time and optimising its position by communicating with the DTI (Digital Tech Intelligence).
The rear derailleur is also equipped with a play recovery system using a helicoidal spring that optimises stability and precision and keeps operation and performance constant over time, even after many kms have been covered.
As with the mechanical rear derailleur, it is possible to optimise its position with respect to the frame and chain by acting on two adjusting screws: the screw that adjusts the mechanical end stop and the screw that adjusts the distance between the upper pulley and sprockets. By using these screws it is possible to optimise the installation of the rear derailleur and increase the precision of its operation.
DTI - Digital Tech Intelligence is housed inside the Power Unit and it continuously monitors the signals that arrive from all the EPS components, thus managing their operation.
Multi-Shifting - There are no longer any limits to Multi-shifting and the choice is at the fingertips of the cyclist.
Ride Back Home - The uncoupling mechanism of the rear derailleur is useful if the battery runs out "on the road", allowing you to manually "uncouple" the rear derailleur to position it on which ever sprocket you require.
Water Proof - In order to achieve the IP67 classification, all the electronic components of the EPS system underwent a series of tests, which proved their ability to function perfectly under one meter of water for at least 30 minutes.
CeramicSpeed OSPW System For Campagnolo
Developed and designed entirely by CeramicSpeed the Oversized Pulley Wheel System for Campagnolo is advanced for the optimization of bike performance.
Everything from bearings to the cage is made from the highest quality materials. The oversized aluminium pulley wheels are fitted with standard or coated CeramicSpeed Bearings, which reduce friction to the minimum.
The 13/19-tooth OSPW for Campagnolo privides a 40% lower friction over a standard 11-tooth Campagnolo pulley wheel and fits up to a 32-tooth cassette.
The OSPW for Campagnolo is compatible with all Campagnolo electronic rear dereailleur (EPS) and all rear dereailleur with a mounting sleeve - no matter the age and model.
Important: When travelling, please remember to dismount your entire rear derailleur with an Allen key, as the OSPW System will not fit in most bike travel bags and could be damaged if left on.
Regarding the maintenance of your OSPW System, it is important that you properly lubricate your bearings in order to ensure optimal performance and maximum longevity. Add oil by using the lubrication points on the back cage plate, so that oil can penetrate the bearing. Do this when you lubricate your chain, if you have washed your bike or after riding in wet or muddy conditions.
• Adjustment of spring tension can allow for customization of user experience. Higher spring tension can focus on chain rentention & crisp shift response. Lower spring tension will reduce chain drag and improve overall efficency.
• The CeramicSpeed OSPW cage design has been tested for aerodynamic impacts in multiple wind tunnels. No measurable adverse aerodynamic impacts were measured through a variety of yaw angles.
• Shimano Ultegra R8000 GS, R8050 GS, and 105 derailleurs are not compatible with any CeramicSpeed OSPW system.
• SRAM Rival, & SRAM Apex derailleurs are not compatible with any CeramicSpeed OSPW system.
